Independence Day 2020 with Google: Using voices of people and AI
Check Why this year the celebrations of
Independence Day 2020 will be unique?
This year Independence Day 2020 will be celebrated with Google. Google told to Indians to sing the national anthem in their own voice and send it to Google. All the tracks will be merged together to create one final track that’s going to be released on August 15th to celebrate India’s 73rd Independence Day.
Everyone of us
has a feeling of how it felt like when we use to sing the national anthem in
our schools with our friends during morning assemblies, Independence Day and
Republic Day. The Tech-Giant has already planned to recreate the feeling with
people across the country.
In a statement
issued on Tuesday, Google announced that it was looking for an AI (Artificial
Intelligence) to make the Independence Day 2020 celebrations this year more
unique. They also made an appeal to the Indians to sing the national anthem.
Google has collaborated with Prasar Bharati and Virtual Bharat for a unique AI
experiment.
“We are bringing
together these two elements to produce a song that you would know all too well
-- the Indian national anthem,” wrote Google.
Further they
said - “All you need to do is sing the national anthem, then using the power of
AI your voice will get converted into one of three traditional Indian
instruments -- the shehnai, sarangi, or bansuri -- effectively rendering your
performance of the national anthem in the instrument of your choice.”
